William Booker

William Booker occupied a piece of land land or premises in Quenington from 1813-24. The following year he was succeeded by William Stevens, when it was shown to be owned by Michael Hicks Beach, almost certainly Court Farm. Nothing else has been found to associate Booker with Quenington. He may be the man of that name who rented land in Maiseyhampton near Fairford, including some from Michael Hichs Beach, and in Bibury. He was born about 1752 and died in Maiseyhampton in 1833. |
